I have a late 2012 mini, and I also have a mid 2013. Both minis came boxed
with an HDMI to female V G A adapter, but I never saw anything in either of
the boxes by default that went to DVI, nor to mini DVI, nor to thunderbolt.

Hi Portia
By default that model device should have a DVI adaptor
It will be or should be an HDMI to DVI adaptor.
I have a mac mini of 2012 also and it came with that adaptor.
You can also get an adaptor which is mini display / thunderbolt to vga
But by default it should have the HDMI to DVI adaptor
You can also get a mini display to DVI
Or just to confuse things, HDMI to a screan or tv with HDMI also works
great.
Hope that helps.

Subject: Mac mini 2012
Hello all,
Earlier this month, I purchased a Mac mini 2012. Does the Mac mini from
that year, need a DVI adapter? If so, what kind of adapter would I need?
Thank you.
Portia.
