Regarding the recent cutting the cable thread, it occured to me there are two tv and movie sources just for blind people Imight mention. They are audio only and described. The description has british accents. As I recall description is required there which is why these sources exist.

The first is blind tv:

There are 5 categories of shows there including comedy which has big bang for example in its lineup. These are replays of previous shows including old shows such as "I love Lucy" for example. There is a schedule for the shows in each category.

There is also a link for a "tuner" which has some additional shows which seem to have children in mind. Choosing "listen" in each category will stream the currently named show.

Second is movies available on the blind mice shopping site:

One is required to register for access which is otherwise free to use. It has many popular movies and tv series, the latter tending to be british productions.

These have to be downloaded not streamed and are mp3 so they are small in size.
