You know what is so ironic about this discussion is, many people believe that the Apple brought sin into the world. (smiles)

You know, having sight would be just amazing. You think God made you blind? No
dude. Genetics, happenings of life, that stuff, made you blind. A loving God
doesn't make people have disabilities for any reason.
Take games for example. I'd love to play more video games, and not have to deal with the
lack of audio games for the Mac, and the simplicity of those available for Windows and
iOS. The vOICe could eventually solve the Mac problem, if it's developer got a Mac and
ported it to the Mac, or if someone were able to make an app that did the same things as
the vOICe, including sonifying the contents and the screen. I'd also love to see where
people are, to find friends in a crowd without yelling there name, and probably getting
"They're not here," at worst. But first steps, to solving the more global
blindness problem would be getting the vOICe on more platforms, raising awareness about
it, and maybe having training courses on its use in daily applications.

Hi Shawn,

I'm not sure about your history but from my point of view, I lost my sight at
22 years of age,

I"ve got four neaces and one nephew whom I've never seen due to them having
arrived after I lost my sight,
I'd give my left one to be able to see these kids,
Not to mention my other family members,
Or find my fathers grave in the cemetary with out sighted assistance,
Be able to read my own mail again with out needing someone else to really
invaid my personal documents,
Stand on top of a snow covered mountain looking out over row upon row of snow
covered peaks on a clair blue skyed day, something I can remember from days
long ago.

I miss being able to drive a car with the music pumping,

If you've never seen you probably don't know what you aren't able to see and
someone trying to tell you is no where near what the real thing looks like.

If there is ever a solution to correcting my blindness then I'll go for it
knowing full well that it will be a very scarey change to life as it currently
is, but no where near as scarey as it was to lose my sight.

But the knowledge I have from being blind will allow me to work towards a
better life for those with disabilities that can't be corrected.

Everyone has a choice and we'll make the ones that are best for ourselves at
the time they need to be made.

Sorry list, just a slight rant.

What is this "blindness problem" everyone keeps talking about. I consider my
blindness to be a gift from god so if there was a way to reverse my blindness, I wouldn't
take it. Getting back on topic, I'm sure whatever Apple does, they'll keep us in mind.

I’m not sure it’s as simple as just “fixing the blindness problem”, because
there are lots of existential issues at play here. I do hope, though, that by
some means the playing field will be levelled. This would make for an
interesting discussion, but definitely not for this list.
