Subject: Buying vs Purchasing Content
Now that I have begun to use my Apple TV, I wish to get some input on
this concept of buying vs purchasing content from the iTunes store.
First, what is the policy for renting? 30 days to play the content then
how long once you press the play button before it goes away?
24 hours, as far as I'm aware.
How
will this work for content that has several episodes?
I'd assume the same way, but don't quote me on that. I'm thinking it's 24
hours from the point you hit play on the actual individual epp. Otherwise,
it's still 30 days per epp. Again though, don't quote me on this. I"m only
going there on assumption. I'm not honestly totally sure.>
Then, and I know this is more subjective, what do you prefer? Buy or
rent?
You know, E.T, that's a hard call. What I'll generally do is, if I'm
familiar with the content, and I know beyond a doubt that I will like it,
then I'll buy it. If I'm not totally sure, then generally what I'll do is
I'll start with Netflix, as I have an unlimited streaming account through
them. If I can find the movie up there, I'll watch it included with my
membership. If I like it, then, I'll go to the Apple Store and buy it. If
they don't have it, then my next approach is usually to go ahead and rent it
through the ITunes Apple Store. Then, that way, if I don't like it, I'm
only out a few bucks. If I do however like it, then I'll buy it to keep in
my library.
Anyway, I hope that this at least somewhat helps. Have a great one!
Chris.
