Could it a been Screenflow? Those keystrokes you mention do indeed work
with that app.

Okay,
Once, somebody on here posted something about a very simple video editor
which allowed one to edit a video by using in and out markers. One could
press i for the in marker and o for the out marker. Once the markers were
set, you could cut, paste or delete what you had marked. Can somebody
remind me what that little editor was? It wasn’t iMovie for sure.
