OK, this is new news to me. Where does one then go to connect the watch to
wifi? I never saw that under settings on the watch, nor in the watch app on
the phone. What am I missing?

Hi. With Bluetooth off, yes, the watch still communicate over Wi-Fi. You'll
be able to do things like send messages, check email, you Siri. You won't be
able to ping the iPhone however.

Hi!
Not sure whats going on here but from what i understand its possible to
use apple watch on wifi together with the Iphone?
When i turn Bluetooth off my apple watch seem to not be connected to my
Iphone.
At least it tells me so.
So i did a ping for the Iphone but it didn’t seem to help.
This is with the Iphone SE and a 42 mm apple watch stainless steel.
Both devices uses the most up to date version.
Any thoughts
