By reset it, I assume you mean the AppleTV. I know that did not help with our 
old Apple TV too. I haven't tried it with this one, but since it was set up 
from scratch just now, and then updated to the latest tvOS, I'm not sure what 
resetting might do. Plus, since we tried it on two different TVs, I'm thinking 
it's not the Apple device. It's either the something with the optical out port 
or, more likely in my view, something to do with the sound bar. And this isn't 
a cheap sound bar. It's klipsch, so it should not be cheaply made or anything.
