Mark,
The flip side is that we want to know a problem has been resolved. Which is exactly what you did. I do agree that we do not need to send our thanks to the whole group.

Hello Joseph,

I appreciate your very graciously stated suggestion.

From time-to-time, the list gets spammed. I don't always catch these spammers
immediately and when this happens, list members will contact me, off-list, in
order to bring this to my attention. Consequently, I post to the list when I
remove a spammer so that members will know that a problem has been addressed
and that there is no need to send me a notification.

Be that as it may, I will definitely consider your advice.

Mark

Mark, may I give you a little advice concerning what you have done as an admin?
What you're doing is great, but I don't feel that it is necessary to alert the
whole group that you have remove the spammer, I think it is best that you just
alert the people that helped you and Cara out with monitoring this group on a
day-to-day basis. Because probably from this message forward people will
probably start flooding our inboxes with thank you's and such. Just a piece of
advice from A attman of a nicely handled list.amming

Let's just leave it at that.
