The Mac OS comes with a good dictionary, the American Oxford, I believe. I use
it all the time.

On Leopard,I have found that VO has trouble with the dictionary, but I've found
a work-around to the problem. Once you've typed the word for which you would
like a definition, press return, and turn VO off and on again. Then, click on
the dictionary icon in the doc (you may have to do that twice). That will take
you back into the dictionary, and you should then be able to read the
definition.

I hope this helps.

Subject: dictionary software on the mac?

Hello, Are there any dictionary programson the mac. I mean good ones that you
can use as a university student? I would be interested in English, French,
German and Dutch. I know we here in the netherlands do have van dale cd rom
dictionaries but I am pretty sure they are only for windows.
Greetings, Anouk,
