Agreed, and requiring one who cannot see a monitor to have one runs counter to accessibility. ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Blouch To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Sent: Saturday, November 28, 2009 8:43 PM Subject: Re: -- Re: -- Mac Mini problem
Has anyone contacted Apple about this hardware bug? It's one thing to require a video dongle to make the machine work right without a monitor but now Apple has even broken that option. I, fortunately, have an old old VGA monitor here,a dn, just having it hooked up makes a big big difference. Pretty minor for me although I wish the mini adapter did work because it would increase the portability of the machine a bit. Wish I had never wasted my money on this computer, I should have held out and bought a Mac Book, but who knewA? ----- Original Message ----- From: "David McLean" <david.mcl...@cox.net> To: <macvisionaries@googlegroups.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 24, 2009 1:58 PM Subject: -- Mac Mini problem Well I had exactly the same problem last week. My only recommendation is to buy a cheap monitor just for the mini which is what I did. Of course you can also do what I did and buy yourself an early Christmas present (an imac). I have been very busy because of a change in my job description, so I've kind of put the Mac on hold. However, life is calming down and I decided to get down to it with the mac. Imagine my frustration when, I received the adapter today, connected it to the back of my Mac, started the machine, and I have no speech. If I start the machine without this adapter connected, VO comes up as expected, and if I subsequently plug in the adapter all is still well, but Safari is still just as slow as it was before. I'm wondering why the system doesn't seem to come up if the adapter is plugged in. If any of you have an idea what could be causing this and, better yet, if any of you have a solution, I will be incredibly grateful. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jess Smith" <theeternal...@gmail.com> To: <macvisionaries@googlegroups.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 24, 2009 3:09 AM Subject: A question about streaming audio in vlc media player Hi all, Whenever I stream audio in Vlc through an m3u playlist, the player skips ahead to the next track in the playlist before the current one finishes playing. What's going on here, and how can I fix this? Thanks. Jes. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
