Weird, ever since I got my 6S back last October, I've never noticed too much distortion. Maybe a little bit, but it's very suttle if any, and I normally do! run mine if not all the way up, at least maybe 1 notch away from all the way. Granted, I'm using the Siri Male voice, but even when I used Alex a few times, I don't recall having this issue. I think the only voice I've found that does! distort like crazy is Symantha. --- Christopher Gilland JAWS Certified, 2016. Training Instructor.

I had an issue with my 6S Plus when i purchased about 3 weeks ago where Alex would often chop off and clip out but updating to 9.3 resolved the issue.
