Hello Simon, The numloc function disappeared when Macs stopped using the Power PC chips and went to Intel. So, it went out with the PowerBooks and iBooks (yes, there were laptops called iBooks). It has not been available on any variety of MacBook, Air, Pro, White, Black, etc.
