Thanks.  1Password looks great, and like the right overall choice for Mac and 
iOS.  A touch expensive, but the Wi-Fi sync feature alone is worth it.  I’m not 
going with LastPass because (1) LogMeIn owns it and (2) let’s be honest, it’s 
lock-in.  And it turns out that KeePass for iOS isn’t official and only 
supports cloud storage.

The 1Password data storage location for folder sync can be managed, and it 
performs regular backups.  The OPVault format is the cross-platform way to get 
the data out.  I don’t think the SQLite database is meant to be manipulated.

Yeah, going to have some fun with this. :)
