The Splasm site, as do many many developers, offer a support page
which may include user documentation and FAQs.
I just finished setting up and importing my data into Checkbook and
tinbk the developer is cheating himself by selling this app for only $15.
As to backups, just make sure it is not saved to the internal hard
drive but to an external destination.
