So the good news is that you’re being very prudent. More good news is that you do not have malware. These websites are made to target gullible people. They’re designed to look and feel exactly like some kind of anti-virus but what most people aren’t aware of is that it’s not possible for a website to remotely scan your machine in such a manner to even find viruses for you. This isn’t malware it’s just targeted advertising. As long as you have at least 1 working anti-virus on your mac don’t worry, and if safari is what gives you a message simply ignore it.
