Hello Everyone, I am cross-posting this to both the V iPhone and Mac Visionaries mailing list.
A couple of months ago, a new feature was added to Twitter, called Moments. Essentially, Twitter Moments is a birds-eye view of current events happening around the world. It's really quite an exciting way to easily follow trending issues of the day on a variety of subject including news, sports, entertainment, etc. If you log into your Twitter account using your preferred web browser, you will discover the Moments tab located near the top of the browser window. However, should you open the native iOS Twitter app, the Moments tab is nowhere to be found. This has been perplexing me for a while now until I discovered the problem, said problem being a bug between VoiceOver and the Native Twitter app. I will paste in the bug report I posted to the iTunes App Store, following my signature and I invite everyone to please submit a review to the App Store describing this bug. Feel free to use any or all of my report in your review. Also, I encourage all of you Twitter users to send a tweet to both @support and @twitter from within your preferred Twitter client, addressing this issue. With so many important world events taking place at this time, I feel that it is most urgent that we, as blind and low vision citizens, be part of the conversation. Thank you, Mark [BEGIN BUG REPORT] A Bug With Twitter Moments and VoiceOver in iOS Twitter moments is one of the most exciting new features now being enjoyed by thousands of iOS Twitter app users. However, when VoiceOver, Apple's software screen reading solution for the blind and low vision, is enabled, the Moments Tab, does not appear. In order to get the Moments Tab to be displayed, VoiceOver must first be disabled, then the Twitter app must be launched, then, VoiceOver re-enabled at which time a Twitter warning message appears prompting the blind or low vision person to close and restart Twitter with VoiceOver enabled. Of course, doing this will cause the Moments Tab to, once again, disappear. I urge Twitter to address this accessibility bug as soon as possible.
