Quick question.

I have an Apple TV 4, which I bought to replace my Apple TV 3rd gen.

Right now, the 3rd gen isn’t even hooked up. The remote was just sitting over
here doing nothing, so I figured I’d try to see if I could find a way to pare
it to my mac mini late 2012 system.

The really strange thing is that I got it pared perfectly, and it is working
correctly in ITunes. This said, when I go into ITunes under preferences, then
I navigate to the devices tab, it says no remotes are pared.

Even the the Apple TV 3rd gen remote is an infrared remote, could it be that
the remote is not really per sé an ITunes, quote unquote remote? Is there a
difference?

Chris.
