Hi, I have an update on my VMware 8 problem. I'll respond on this thread about the problem allowing VMware Support to remotely access my machine ...
It turned out Firefox wasn't of help anymore than Safari or Google-Chrome. We resolved the problem by having the VMware tech email me a complete URI that included the particulars. That allowed me past that part of the process and into the menu where I could allow them access. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. Once the Cisco Webex screen was up, I had to work around buttons without labels. Fortunately, the menu bar provided another way to allow VMware to start the remote session. Interestingly, it came with a keyboard shortcut. More in my other response.
