Hi, Yes, I agree that the phone needs to be on speaker. I find that if I put the phone to my ear as soon as I hit the call button then once it starts raining I can take it away from my ear and it will go to speaker. The keypad is then accessible and you can type in numbers or extensions or whatever you need to. Hope that helps. This is my first smart phone but I have used an iPod Touch 4th Generation for a few years. I have made good progress with the phone but have come across the following issue which occurs when using the phone without headphones. If I make a call by typing the number on the keypad or using the contacs list I find that as soon as I get the ringing tone and when the phone is answered the only control on the screen that is spoken by Voiceover is the “End Call” button. This happens whether I use the phone “hands free” or against my ear. However, if I plug in my headphones, I can access other controls including the keypad. This means I can choose from a selection of options if I need to do this in order to get to the right place in an organisation. I know that sighted users can access the keypad when using the phone “hands free”. So, is this standard behaviour with Voiceover or a specific issue with my phone? Also, when I get my Bluetooth headset should it have the same effect as the wired headset does in this case? Maybe there is something obvious I have overlooked but any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Chris -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
