It's not really a big deal over all, but I do think it's inconvenient. Technically, this issue goes even further out though than just the Apple Watch, as you can't do this with I O S devices in general that I know of.
Let's say I'm in the car, and I have my IPhone in my pants pocket. Now, I either get an incoming call, or need to make an outbound call. No problem. Just raise my wrist, and make it for now on the watch. No need to yank out my phone. Once I get to my destination, get out of the car, grab my phone, unlock it, and then quickly double tap on the status bar. Bam! I just handed that call on my watch off to my phone, and now can continue on the phone. That's great, but, what if I'm at home, and all of a sudden time gets away from me, now I have people downstairs waiting for me to leave with them. I don't want to have to be figetting around with my IPhone while trying to open the cardoor, while trying to put on my seatbelt, while standing on my head, barking like a dog. My point is, There is no way that I see to hand an IPhone call off to the watch. I can go the other way, watch to phone, but not phone to watch. If I could go phone to watch, then come time to leave, I could just hand it over to the watch, already happily on my wrist, throw the phone in my pocket while walking downstairs, and be done with it. I also don't see why Apple can't make this an option to go from the phone to an IPad or a mac. If you can go from them to the phone, then why not the oppisit way. Seems a little stupid to me that it wouldn't be A-Syncronis. Maybe I'm just overthinking things. Who knows!
