When the edit field is active so you can type in it do the following 1 2 finger double tap will give you the little tone and then start talking 2 when finished talking 2 finger double tap to get the tone which lets you know you can not talk any more. Then you will hear voice over read what you dictated in that edit field.
Note the nice thing thing about this is you can do the 2 finger double tap to start and end dictation anywhere on the screen. -----Original Message----- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Paul Hopewell Sent: Friday, December 18, 2015 04:17 To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Gesture to end dictation on iPhone? Hello, I find dictation on the iPhone 5S really useful for text messages, Emails and Calendar. Is there a VoiceOver friendly gesture to end dictation? the guidance on dictation is to tap the done button on the virtual keyboard but dictation seems to turn the VoiceOver volume down so that I cannot easily find the done button. So I have been ending dictation by pressing the home button. that certainly ends dictation but takes me out of the App I am using and I then have to get back to that App. Is there a better way? Many thanks. Paul Hopewell -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
