Wow Andrew, that’s great info. The more I discover the more I like the mac. Thanks so much for the detailed info. Sincerely Zoe From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Andrew Lamanche Sent: December-02-15 3:11 AM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: itunes progress? Hi Zoe, When backup is being performed, yes, it is true that you will be notified of its completion by a sound but because it's easy to miss it while you are doing other things, you can also check on its progress by going to the LCD section in the itunes window. This section is to be found to the right of the airplay button. Once you hear LCD section, you interact with it in the usual way with vo+shift+down arrow and you can check various info there. If there's nothing going on, I mean nothing to show, voiceover will say that LCD section is empty. The LCD section is worth checking in other situations as well - for instance, you will find the details of the song currently playing there. Just as an aside to this, if you have bought an app in itunes or an album and it is being downloaded, this info will appear in a different way. As soon as a download starts, in the main itunes window immediately to the right of the search text field, a new button called "activity" will appear. It's normally not there if nothing is being downloaded but it will appear otherwise. Vo+spacebar on it and a popup window will show preceded by a characteristic popup window sound which you will learn to recognise. This popup window will show you progress of the various downloads happening. You get out of the popup windows by pressing escape.
