Does anyone know which is the most responsive on OS X and iOS respectively and which is better for battery life on both platforms? Is there a way to get data on this? I notice that VoiceOver doesn't show up in battery usage. I would pay for a software Voice equivalent to DoubleTalk if I could get one. These voices particularly Alex sound too human to me. I'd prefer a really fast mechanical voice for the times when I don't have braille handy. Does anyone know of such Voices?
