Thank you so much. I actually sat down with sited people and went through
david woodbridges podcast on mavricks, other applevis resourses etc. The
problem is my iMac or voiceover is not listening to my keyboard commands.
I'm not stupid, things are not working correctly. I don't claim to be a
genious and of course I'm new to the mac but basic navigations that work in
text edit but not in pages has nothing to do with me pressing wrong keys or
being new at the mac.. Sorry for ranting but I feel a little disappointed
and a little sad with some of the people on the list. I have seen on all
the various lists some of the same people sending tons of messages on one
subject and I never complained I just hit delete. Now after being quiet for
2 years on the list I send a few more messages and I'm made to feel
worthless, like my only recourse is paid lessons or get lost.
Anyhow I appreciate so much your offer and I think between you, joseph, and
brian we may figure out what the heck is going on, you never know I just
might be a doorknob after all.

I wouldn’t ask you to pay right now for training. Eventually, being this is
my job, I’m not going to lie to you, I probably would have to start
charging, but I’d be absolutely more than happy to at least give you a few
lessons for free. It’s not something I normally do, admittedly, but given
your situation, I’d be willing to make a one time exception.

No. The USB key really is too slow for a backup device, although it might
work for that. I’m suggesting simply that you ensure that the files you
value most dearly are somewhere other than either that Mac or that
External hard drive. That’s all. Once you’re sure your data is safe,
then you may go ahead with wiping, backup, upgrade, and so on.
