Kawal, there are all sorts of options in the states now which is a real
improvement over how things were. You can buy pre and post paid services from
the big carriers here now, T-Mobile has a very flexible set of plans and then
there are the resellers / rebranded services that have even lower cost and pay
as you go options.
For example here in the states my plan is $100 US monthly which I think
is about 65 British Pounds. I get two lines each fully unlimited including
unlimited operation in several countries, unlimited 4G data and unlimited
messaging. I could get away with a lot less but I like not having to worry
about usage, I can’t go over any set levels. But yes you can find a plan to
fit what ever payment model you want. How are your speeds on the network there
across the pond? My carrier is in the middle of a huge upgrade and has blazing
speeds for the US available in more areas now even rural. In the middle of a
large city speeds of over 100 megabits per second are quite common. Rural
areas or deep inside large buildings you can average 25 or so. What are your
services like there?
