I cannot remember if this is or is not the case as it has been a while. However, I think I recall that you must keep the Bootcamp partition when you use that option. As I say, I cannot remember if that was truly the case or whether I just elected to keep it but check it out just in case you either don't have the space or don't want to have to do that and it is an issue.
I also remember having some trouble with this kind of installation with regard to updating OS X since it relied on Bootcamp and there was a driver issue or something. It was all during my early days of Mac use so I was struggling to get a handle on things so I'm not as clear on it as I should be.
