This might sound counterproductive, being you're using Apple's compeditor,
but I promise you that it does work.
Have you thought of trying any of the Microsoft Lifecam lineup of USB
products? They have both a mike, and a webcam both in one. They're
awesome! I have one myself, actually.

Hi all,
I have a new macmini and want to add a camera and microphone. Getting a
webcam would seem to be a2 in 1 device for both functions.
Looking around it appears some webcams don't work with a mac or have fewer
functions if it does.
Does anyone know of a webcam that would work with my macmini?
