Hmmmmm, I'm not sure what you consider a crazy price for one song.
Usually a song is around a dollar or a little more. Maybe you are
looking at the album price instead of the song price? I'm not sure
what you are wanting these downloads for. If you are just wanting to
hear a song and enjoy it now and then maybe you could look up the song
on youtube or the christian version. It used to be called Godtube but
they changed the name and I can't remember what they changed the name
to, I'm sure you could look it up. I do not go to either of these
sites and therefore cannot speak about their accessibility. I think
there is an accessible youtube though. I'm sorry, I do not know the
website for that. I also do not know how well it works or doesn't
work. I do not think you can download these music videos but you can
play them and listen to them for free. Another cheap alternative to
listening to Christian music is through pandora. Although you cannot
just hear any song you want on demand, I enjoy the radio stations it
creates. However, it is not easy to use and you must have a sighted
person help you get set up with an account and then you should be able
to do the rest on your own through www.pandora.com/backstage

It's been a very long time since I used pandora and it takes a bit to
learn.

Now, for downloading songs for an ipod or something, other than the
ones mentioned here, I'm not aware of any other sources. There are
some musicians who do not want their music downloadable so if you
cannot find them, this may be why. I know that sounds strange. Most
musicians allow their music to be sold as downloads. :)
