Working in Numbers V3.6, VoiceOver is giving way too much cell reference info
as I move around a spreadsheet. It announces the Row# along with the cell
contents and the cell coordinates, i.e. “row 7, blank, B7”. It never used to
give the row# which is an annoyance now. In addition, it announces “column
header, row header” fwhen moving around in header rows/columns.
Looking around in VO utilities, I have tried unchecking “speak header when
navigating across table rows”, in Verbosity/announcements, and that eliminates
the row# announcement, but also the row labels which is useful info.
Announcement of header column and rows is still announced regardless of the
checkbox status.

It’s just too much info and really slows down navigation
I can manually read row and column info with VO+R and VO+C, but that’s a step
backward just to avoid the extraneous chatter.
Anybody else seen this problem? Any workarounds to shut off the extra row# and
column/row header announcements?
