Let's assume that the attachment you want to open is a word document. Here is what I do. One. Open the message using the return key. Two. Interact with the text in the message. Three. Navigate to the image of the attached document using the arrow keys. Four. Press VO space to open a menu of options. Finally, use VO plus the down arrow key to move to the menu item that says open attachment.
