Hi. That sounds like too many keys to memorize if I'm a new Mac user. An easier 
way of sending an app to the trash is to go to the applications folder in 
finder like George said with Command+Shift+A, then find the app you wish to 
delete and then press Command+Backspace. Then to empty the trash, while in 
finder press Command+Shift+Backspace. It doesn't matter where you are in 
finder, those two commands I just mentioned will work anywhere. Hope this helps.
