You should be able to browse other disks from the Time Machine MenuExtra or Dock item. When you are looking in Finder at the files you want thrown out, open the context menu and choose to remove it from the backup. I’m not in front of a TM-enabled machine at the moment so the details are hazy, but that’s the process for dropping files from backups.
