Hi Matt/Alex,

Thanks for the input (pardon the pun). I had hoped I was being too
negative about the keyboard on the MacBook and maybe it was "just me".

As Alex says not something worth a thousand-plus of your currency of
choice experiment if it proves to be difficult  long term.

A real shame,  the machine is a perfect fit for my business travel
needs. I'll have another play at an Apple Store but will try to leave
the rose-coloured virtual glasses at home.
