Actually Shaf, yes. If you get Onyx, not sure the download link off hand. I think it's in the app store. If you have problems finding it, let me know and I'll try to help you out. I think I remember that is how I turned that feature off. I gree, that and the .trashes folder. It's annoying as hell! There is a way though as I said. I don't recall where in Onyx you do this, as it's been ages since I've needed to pull up its interface, but as far as I remember, that's how I wound up fixing it.

Is there a way of stopping .ds_store and thumbs.db from writing to every signle folder I view? There's just no reason I need them there. Google came up with some terminal command which didn't work.
