You can use cmd-1 through cmd-4 to choose day, week, month, or year views. I'm 
not sure which view you're in, but try week or month view. Locate the day, and 
interact; you'll find a list that gives you all the events for that day. I have 
a full podcast up on AppleVis explaining the Calendar on the Mac, if you're 
interested.
