I find that, when a video loads and an ad starts, I should not touch anything. 
As soon as VO announces "ad can be skipped", I tab once and always land on the 
"skip ad" button; space will then skip the ad. If I move around at all, though, 
tabbing once will not land me on that button, so I've learned to not touch 
anything until the video is playing and I know if I can skip the ad or not.

Interesting idea about ad blockers. I didn't think they would work on Youtube, 
but that would be really great. I'll have to try one.
