Can somebody explain what exactly Mission Control is for and if it's really any use to us VoiceOver users?

Hello:

Thanks a lot, that worked fine. I’m totally happy with disabling mission control stuff. :)

Thanks again, really appreciate the help.

That's a system-wide shortcut, one VMWare may not be able to intercept in time. My only solution--and there may be better ones, as I'm not a VMWare user--is to disable it completely.

In System Preferences, choose Keyboard, then the Shortcuts tab. Select the Mission Control category in the first table, and you should find a bunch of control-arrow shortcuts in the second table. Disable any you wish by using the checkbox next to each one; the ones you're after are move left/right one space.

Hello all,

I’m working with windows in Fusion as well as trying to help a friend. She ran into an issue where ctrl+left/right switches between windows. Is there a way to turn this off so that NVDA will navigate word by word instead?

Thanks,
