Ok, hi. 
You don’t need any more to turn cursor tracking on and off to select 
noncontinuous files in Finder. This also works in Mail. 

Get on top of your file list. I use command shift o to get to documents. 
Interact with the browser, and I guess you know that’s vo shift down arrow. 
Find the one you want and press control option command enter twice for the 
first one. Maybe you don’t have to do second time, but I always did. Then make 
sure you press control option down arrow to get your next one, and when you get 
there do what you did the first time to select the first one. After you have 
done them all, whatever you do, don’t press anything else except what you want 
to do with them or you will unselect them; this has happened to me several 
times. So if you want to copy, make sure you press command c right away so you 
don’t do that.
