Yes, I like the export capability as well. In the demo you only get RTF
and TXT export. Also a smile logo will be embeded at the end of every
page whenever you save or print. Otherwise it's fully functional so you
are welcome to try it for as long as you like then purchase a license
when you're ready. I believe the app is also available in the Mac App Store.

I agree, even though we can’t do everything that software is able to do. Maybe
that will change some time, who knows. But it is faster than using Windows with
JAWS, at least it was when I was using Windows. The OCR feature is
instantaneous, practically. Also, with the Pro version, you can create text
files, Excel files from pdf tables, and I can’t remember if there is anything
else.
We can’t do this directly, but you can get a sighted Mac user to rename form
fields on some of these inaccessible pdf files.

Hi all
PDF Pen Pro is awesome. I currently have the demo but plan to buy it in the
future. One feature I like is the ability to automatically OCR PDF documents
that are just images, usually done from a scanner.

Hi there
I use Pages and Numbers all the time in my business. Also, I have a program I
got called PDF Pen Pro for PDF files. You may or may not need it, but you might
want to check it out. You might want it especially if you need to fill out pdf
forms.
I haven’t seen it myself, but there is also a book on learning the Mac
published by National Braille Press. You can get it in more than one format
with them.

Hello,
iWork is very accessible and would work for the tasks you mention. The preview
of MS Office, at least when it comes to Word, is a long way behind iWork.
However, don’t expect Pages to be like Word. It does most of the same things,
but in a different way.
If you haven’t got it already, get the book “Mastering the Macintosh with
VoiceOver” by Tim Sniffen. It’s a free iBook.
Cheers,
Anne

Greetings to all,
In preparation for one of my subjects called ( write complex documents) I’m
gaging the suitability of the iWork productivity apps.
I’ll need to insert tables, get somewhat accurate formatting information, and
be able to manipulate Basic spreadsheets.
Can all or some of these tasks be accomplished using Pages, Numbers, and
Keynote respectively?
Could I get away with using the Office Preview for the above scenarios?
Suggestions and or notions on how to proceed would be appreciated.
Yours truly,
