Hi,

iMovie has nothing to do with that kind of movie storage at all. iMovie would
be considered part of the Applications totals. You could do a search for .mov
or .mp4 and see if there are any movies somewhere on your machine as tutorials
etc. Some of the “Other” storage may include Time Machine snapshots that your
system likes to take while it’s waiting to do a backup. Really, the amount of
space you have free is plenty and it would last you a while if you’re not using
it for movies and such.

Hi all,

I was really surprised to see my other storage has grown to 37GB, is there
anything I can do to clean this up? With the goal of shrinking it of course.

:) I’ve noticed that I have 49.43 GB free out of 120.47 GB. It would be nice
to have a better understanding of what is taking up space.

For example, I am surprised that movies has 2.09gb, is most of that iMovie
itself? I do not have any movies on my Mac.

Anyway, some guidance is appreciated.
