Jason, Comments on Word you can insert with no problems. I have not yet tested it, but I suspect you could set up a hot spot to monitor the tab that is open for comments to detect the presence of a comment in the document.
I have not tested track changes in word. As you have already posted that you have the pre-release version. Keep the posts coming.
