Hi list,

I've gone around places and found out that there is an smbios.kext
file which is in hex, itself being the information pertaining to the
model identifier of a mac, whether macbook rpo, desktop, macbook, etc.

I've checked the requirements for s server and it says that it
requires a model name which is desktop imac or other desktops. I fill
the requirements in terms of ram and all except for the model
identifier.

I'm sure hackintoshers do this procedure to turn their dells or
whatever to macs for installation processes, so this might not be as
hard for a mac, unless the ID is hardcoded.

Has anyone played around with the applesmbios.kext file before?

Thanks, and best
