FYI, I just turned my computer on. Apparently, when I did that while my phone was still connected to Wi-Fi, all the sinking went right. I did receive a message saying that the documents were out of sync and asking me which one to keep. I chose the correct one and all is well, it appears.
I have since turned my computer back off. Now, I will continue making changes to my document exclusively on my phone for the next couple of days.
