The Wine translation is so fragile as to be pointless IMO. I agree: I wish Apple would just acknowledge that formant synthesis has some merit, and let third parties join the fun. Tell Apple you think so, and perhaps they’ll listen. Somehow though, I feel fairly sure that politics and/or stalwart loyalism will keep it from actually happening.
