the configuration is pretty simple really. There are 5 tabs in the preferences 
window. Most of the settings can be pretty much left as is.

now, I use the Lion version here (my machine won't support anything later in 
the OS X line).

Now, the toolbar on the main app is pretty self explanatory. This program will 
require that you quit all other apps once you start running tasks. THere are 
some tasks that will require a system restart. Once done, your machine should 
behave a little nicer.

Also, you will need several other tools to make sure your system is fully up to 
the task. Malware Bytes anti-malware, clamxav, and Ccleaner. These will take 
care of any issues not covered by onyx.
