I also do not prefer to use tab to navigate through links. I keep the
default safari settings so that I can use tab for the form controls so
that I can get to a text box quickly for logging in or searching. If
on the rare occasion I want to "tab" through links I just use option
plus tab. Again, that is very rare since I use the link chooser menu
from the web roter. I only use this option tab if I go to a site
where I know the first or second link on the page is where I want to
get to quickly.
