Hi,

Not sure if there’s anything that will specifically say what the error is, but, 
I certainly could be wrong.  I usually just press option-return on the cell 
displaying that error and look at the syntax and cell references.  If you have 
a circular reference, that is, referring to the same cell that the formula is 
in, it will display that error for sure.  There are likely other things like 
division by zero that may cause it as well, but, the circular reference is the 
only one I’ve seen first hand in testing.
