The only way so far guys, for Spotify to run on the desktop is if you have the premium subscription and can use the connect menu. You choose your computer from the list and it sends all control to the Mac or Pc app. However, if you perform searches or playlist stuff, you have to interface it through the app but you can stream it through the computer independently through their connect menu. PS, I used it for a while but ended up going back to iTunes Radio because I don’t have to work at it so hard to get what I want out of it, just a little tweaking here and there and I can get all I want and more, plus I can interface it from anything I use from the apple Tv, to my mac, iPhone and iPad.
