Hi, As mentioned, dragging with VO will not usually do what you are wanting it to do. You actually want the Horizontal Splitter to be at 100%, not 0%. You will know that the Preview Pane is gone by selecting a message, then stopping Interaction with everything, then using VO-right to move through the Mail window. The Horizontal Splitter will now be at the bottom of the window and there will be no announcing of any text of the selected message. In Classic view, if you try with VO to drag the Horizontal Splitter down, so that the percent increases, it will normally only reach a maximum of about 82%, which, of course, still allows the Preview pane to be active. The only way for the Preview pane to be totally inactive, is to get that splitter to 100% using the methods Anne and others, including myself, have previously mentioned. Either the physical drag of the Trackpad or mouse-keys dragging.
