Another possibility is to set up a smart folder. 

You can set up a smart folder that has the rules folder: retail Age > 2 weeks 
ago.

Then you would be able to just select all and delete every once in a while. I 
certainly do this for the MacVisionaries since otherwise my system gets slow 
syncing all the messages I will never have a chance to read.
